Welcome to the world of Furtive Figaro!
I started Furtive Figaro in 2010 when I was singing Countess Almaviva for Scottish Opera. It was my ‘official’ role debut and filming on my iPhone proved a brilliant distraction from the daunting realisation that I was bringing life to one of opera’s most celebrated heroines. Any time I felt nervous I would press record – it was as simple as that!
As time passes I realise how valuable my “furtive” filming really is. As well as providing a very special video diary that charts my career to date, it also gives opera lovers a unique insight into the weird and wonderful world that I call home. I have been overwhelmed with the response to these wee videos, and I plan to keep on filming as I continue my professional journey…
